Many ideas!

Hormonobotanik?

We cook for and with people who love to fuck around with their hormone and gender. The recipes comes from auto-didactic research on phytohormone and from our cultural influences. We do workshops and events, we think about recipes as methodology to question gender (and other stuffs), and bring in participants & friends knowledge and experiences.

dot Wiki?

Wikipedia is a wiki but they are many other wiki! We made our own https://hormonobotanik.wiki as a tool to share, archive, question, ever-growing digital collective zines. By organizing our space in the wiki, we make path from many ingredients & plants to recipes written for multiple occasions, but also to translations of holistic practitioner texts. A space with many doors to enter.

Web2print?

Web2print reference the process of printing (exporting a pdf) from a website. This can be done through an assortment of digital tools, but more largely it's like cooking: a practice. We regard web2print as anything involving softwares, our hands, objects, cutting and gluing, drawing, that goes from the wiki content to some form of printing, instead of exporting document fixed by one digital tool. Printing is it's own collection of recipes and there are many possibilities!

Screenprinting?

1st the stencil. it needs to be Black or White (very binary lol) but you can also draw directly on transparent paper, or cut paper in black paper, etc. 2nd the frame. the stencil goes on the frame then you flash, then the frame is ready! 3rd printing. Once you have the frame, you can print multiple time, clean frame, mask something, change color.

The things we use!

Ingredients to print

  • Our post-it from the morning exercise, zoom in them, overlay them, cut them, duplicate them!
  • Things you brought! Bite-sized recipes, inspiring quotes?
  • Explore hormonobotanik.wiki, by phytohormonal ingredients?
  • Go to the External Ressources page, or flip through the books we brought for things to scan or redraw.
  • Have discussions!

Questions that feeds us

  • How can recipe become a methodology to question gender? Not only as a result to ingest, but as a process that ask intimate & situated transformative participation from us?
  • What's our relationship to disgusting things: how bodies can be seen as disgusting, how we can nurture curiosity and wonder to disgusting textures or feelings in cooking?
  • How do we translate and embed knowledge and stories inside of recipes, their shape can be many: literary tutorial, visual representation, oral telling, gestural witnessing;

Ce que l'on demande aux personnes d'amener

  • une recette importante pour vous, or anything that is a recipe for you
  • it's like you bring an ingredient, we need to be able to cook it together, it shouldn't be too big, a "bitesize something"
  • it could be une photo or a even memory

Si vous aimez travailler sur votre propre ordi bring it, since we will be looking at a wiki (website). Mais pas d'obligation, une grande partie du workshop sera collectif.
